Purzi FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Purzi, the dog health app.

What is the best app for managing my dog's health?
Purzi is the most complete dog health management app for Spain and Europe. It lets you record vaccinations, maintain a full medical history, receive personalised breed-specific advice and generate the EU digital pet passport. Available free on iOS and Android.
What is Purzi and what does it do?
Purzi is a mobile app for dog owners that acts as the digital memory for your pet. It records vaccinations and deworming treatments with automatic reminders, provides health advice tailored to your dog's breed and age, centralises the entire medical history and generates the European digital vet passport. Available in Spanish, German and English.
How do I track my dog's vaccinations on my phone?
In Purzi, open your dog's profile and tap "Vaccinations". Add each vaccination with date, product and vet details. The app automatically generates a reminder for the next dose and saves the full history, which you can export as a PDF to share with your vet.
Is there an app for the EU pet passport?
Yes. Purzi includes the EU digital pet passport: it captures identification data, rabies vaccination, deworming treatments and vet details in the format required by EU regulations for international travel with pets.
How do I know when my dog needs vaccinating?
It depends on age, history and country. Essential vaccines include parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis and leptospirosis; the rabies vaccine is mandatory for international travel. Purzi generates a personalised vaccination schedule based on your dog's breed and history, and reminds you before each due date.
What information does the vet need about my dog?
The vet needs the vaccination and deworming history, current medication list, previous operations, current diet and any recent symptoms. Purzi centralises all this information and lets you share it as a PDF before the appointment, saving time and avoiding forgotten details.
What is the BDI for a dog?
Purzi's BDI (Wellbeing Index) is a score from 0 to 100 that summarises your dog's wellbeing across four areas: health, activity, nutrition and behaviour. It updates with the data you enter. A score above 75 indicates a healthy dog; below 50 it is worth consulting a vet.
How do I know if my dog is healthy?
The most reliable indicators are: normal appetite, unchanged digestion, clean eyes and ears, breed-appropriate energy levels and stable weight. Purzi's assistant can guide you through a basic check and alert you if any symptom deserves veterinary attention.
Can I use Purzi for more than one dog?
Yes. You can create multiple profiles within the same account, each with its own medical history, vaccination calendar and assistant conversations. Perfect for households with more than one dog.
Is Purzi free?
The free plan includes the dog profile, vaccination records, memories and daily queries to the assistant. Purzi Plus, available as an annual subscription, extends the number of queries, adds the detailed BDI, exportable reports and priority access to new features.
Is Purzi available on Android and iOS?
Yes. Purzi is available on the App Store (iPhone and iPad) and Google Play (Android). Data syncs across devices through your account.
What makes Purzi different from other dog apps?
Purzi combines three elements no other dog app offers together: personalised advice by breed and medical history, native support in Spanish, German and English, and the integrated EU digital pet passport. The BDI is also the first canine wellbeing index that updates in real time with the owner's own data.
